Certlink is an agricultural certification and market intelligence platform developed by Corporate Cataloguing Pty Ltd in partnership with African Pacific and Lionfish. The platform is operated on behalf of client organisations including the Vanuatu Organic Farmers Cooperative (VOFC). Certlink provides certification management, commodity market data, and farmer support services to organic farmers across the Pacific.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

Farmer registration data — name, gender, village, contact details, cooperative membership number, and farm location.
Certification data — inspection records, audit results, agreement documents, and compliance status.
Purchase and transaction records — grower purchase records, commodity volumes, and payment information.
Account credentials — username and encrypted password used to access the Certlink platform.
Usage data — pages visited, features used, and login timestamps, collected automatically when you use our platform.
Communications — messages sent to us via email or through the platform.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Managing farmer certification records and audit histories.
Processing grower purchase records and cooperative payments.
Providing access to the Certlink platform and its features.
Sending daily commodity market price updates via the Certlink Facebook page and other communication channels you have opted into.
Improving the platform and developing new features for farmers.
Complying with legal obligations, including organic certification standards.
Communicating important updates about your certification status or cooperative membership.

4. Commodity market data and Facebook integration

Certlink publishes a daily commodity price update to the Certlink Facebook page. This post contains market price information only — no personal farmer data is included in these posts.

To publish these posts automatically, Certlink uses the Meta (Facebook) Pages API through an authorised application called "VOFC Commodity Posts," developed and managed by Corporate Cataloguing Pty Ltd on behalf of VOFC. This application has permission to publish content to the Certlink Facebook page only. It does not access, store, or process any personal data belonging to farmers or page followers.

Market price data is sourced from the International Coconut Community (ICC), ICE Futures New York, and TBC Ingredients. This data is publicly available and does not contain any personal information.

5. Data storage and security

Farmer data is stored securely in Caspio, a cloud database platform hosted on enterprise-grade infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Access to farmer records is restricted to authorised Certlink staff and cooperative administrators only.

Commodity price data is stored in Cloudflare's Key-Value (KV) storage, a globally distributed secure data store. No personal information is stored in this system.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

Certification bodies — where required to verify organic certification status with accredited certification organisations.
Service providers — with trusted technology providers (Caspio, Cloudflare, Weebly) who process data on our behalf under strict data protection agreements.
Legal requirements — where we are required by law, regulation, or court order to disclose information.
Cooperative administration — with authorised VOFC cooperative administrators for the purposes of managing membership and payments.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal obligations.
Withdraw consent for communications at any time.
Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

8. Cookies and tracking

The Certlink platform uses session cookies to maintain your login state. These cookies are necessary for the platform to function and are deleted when you close your browser. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

9. Children's privacy

The Certlink platform is intended for use by registered adult farmers and cooperative members. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Certlink platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
